Penny Preston and the Raven’s Talisman is now available as an audio book through Audible.com. As this is a new format for me, I’m looking for some help to promote the audio version. That’s where you guys come into play.
Specifically, I’m asking for VOLUNTEERS to listen to the audio version and write an HONEST review. In return, I have a limited number of FREE promotion codes that I will share with you. Just to be clear, I will give you the codes first, so there’s no monetary cost for you.
Unfortunately the codes are single use only. So while I want your HONEST review, if middle grade/young adult fantasy is not your cup of tea, I would appreciate you taking a pass.
What does writing an HONEST review entail?
You will need to listen to the entire story. The run time is 8 hours and 34 minutes. I understand that’s a lot of time. If that’s too much for you, no worries. Just don’t volunteer.
What if you’ve never written a review before or have never done so for an audio book?
There’s really no wrong way to right a review. After all it’s nothing more than your opinion. As long as you’re HONEST and generally civil it will be fine. The reviews will be through Audible.com, which uses a five star system across three categories. The categories include, Performance (your rating of the narrator), Story (your rating of the tale), and an Overall rating. To fully inform the readers of your review, it MUST include a statement that in return for your VOLUNTARY and HONEST review you received a FREE copy of the audio book.
If you’re still a little apprehensive about it, please feel free to browse the posted sample reviews generated by the audio launch. Again, if any of that is outside your zone, that’s fine.
I’m game, so what do I need to do?
All you have to do is contact me to let me know you’re VOLUNTEERING and provide me with your contact information. You can reach me through the contact email address (found below the spam blocker on the Home page for this site), via LinkedIn message, or on my FB Author page. I have codes for both the US and UK Audible sites. I will award the codes on a first come first serve basis. Finally, while the links are for Audible.com, it would be very helpful if you share your review on other sites, e.g., Goodreads, Amazon, etc. I know that takes more of your time, but I would greatly appreciate it if you would.
